Tungsten disulfide-nickel oxide hybrids as high-performance supercapacitors

چکیده

Two-dimensional materials are suitable for energy storage applications due to their chemical stability, high electrical conductivity and large specific surface area. In this work, tungsten disulfide (WS2) nanosheets were synthesized by exfoliation method combined with nickel oxide (NiO) nanoparticles be used as a working electrode storing energy. The WS2 alone shows capacitance of about 21.87 mF⸳cm-2, which is improved up 64.58 mF⸳cm-2 adding NiO nanoparticles. occurrence redox reactions plays an important role in increasing the final capacitance. Moreover, proposed hybrid maintains 93% its initial after 5000 charge-discharge cycles, indicates stable reliable performance.

Nano-aggregates of cobalt nickel oxysulfide (CoNi)OxSy have been synthesized by hydrothermal processing and exhibited specific and areal capacitance as high as 592 F g(-1) and 1628 mF cm(-2), respectively, at a current density of 0.5 A g(-1)/1.375 mA cm(-2).
